What is Zeldox used for?

Used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder in adults.

How should I take Zeldox?

Must be taken with food (after a full meal).
Usually taken twice daily.
Available in 20 mg, 40 mg, 60 mg, 80 mg capsules.
Typical range: 20–80 mg twice daily.

  • Fatigue/sleepiness
  • Nausea/upset stomach
  • Constipation
  • Dizziness
  • Headache
  • EPS

Rare but serious side effects

  • Agranulocytosis
  • Stroke
  • Severe allergic reaction
  • Sudden cardiac death
  • Torsades de pointes
  • DKA
  • NMS

Warnings/Precautions

Not approved for dementia‑related psychosis.
May affect heart rhythm — caution in long QT syndrome, recent MI, or severe heart failure.
Rare serious skin reactions reported in the US.

Medication interactions

Interactions may occur with:

  • Lorazepam/zopiclone
  • Fentanyl
