Recovery in Action (RIA)
Recovery in Action (RIA) is a recovery-oriented group program for adults with lived experience of psychosis. Through education, discussion, and practical skill-building activities, participants can deepen their understanding of psychosis, explore what recovery means to them, and build tools to support their mental health and wellbeing.
Together, participants explore topics such as understanding psychosis, recognizing early warning signs, maintaining wellness, preventing relapse, and navigating the recovery journey. The program also introduces evidence-informed strategies for managing symptoms and responding to challenges, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Psychosis (CBT-p) approaches and emotional regulation skills.
Participants have opportunities to learn from one another, develop practical coping strategies, build confidence in managing their mental health, and connect with others in a supportive and respectful environment.
Topics include understanding psychosis, the recovery journey, maintaining wellness, recognizing early warning signs, preventing relapse, emotional regulation, and practical strategies for managing symptoms.
